Since there wouldn't be enough room for 2 joysticks and button sets (like the stand up cabs), what I'm wanting to do is have one set of joystick/buttons on the cabinet, then with the raspberry Pi 3b+, have a USB hookup jutting out of the cab to hook up an external joystick. So, I'm assuming that even though the Pac-Man cab as is doesn't have any buttons (other than player select) you could add some and the board would support it. Judging by the Countercade lineup, the Space Invaders one would be the best to hack because the joystick is all the way on the left and has enough room for more buttons.īut, they only had Pac-Man, so you work with what you've got.
